Since suspending piano lessons due to covid, I am stagnating on the piano. Yeah, I am playing stuff better and some a lot better but no real new techniques or critique. My wife will say, you sound just like him. Well, not really but not bad. I am going to restart in March and cannot wait. Without a “performance” in front of a real teacher and critique of results I am not as motivated to practice.

I think cycling is the same. Without racing, competition and results and a coach, I am stagnating. Hopefully, this changes soon.
