One of my pet peeves, both on a bike and while driving a MV, is when other drivers try to direct traffic. You know, when we all get to the four-way stop, and - instead of simply following the right-of-way rules - some old guy tries to wave me through. It's harder to deal with in a car, but when riding I simply slide off the saddle, put a foot on the pavement, and wait 'em out. Just follow the frickin' rules, people, and fewer people will get hurt.
And yeah, they almost always are older men - many of them seem to enjoy 'being in charge.'
