Gave my notice this morning. I'd been dreading it and procrastinated for several days but first thing today I made appointments with the scheduling secretary for a face to face. Both my immediate boss and my boss of bosses were surprisingly supportive and congratulatory. Almost a hint of envy, even.

Last day here is June 30. Then family vacation, language study, and prep work for a consulting gig in the fall.

Phew. A huge weight off my shoulders. I feel free.
