I forgot to mention with my photos of my spares that I make tire boots out of the Tyvek envelopes that US Postal Service uses, I pack one with each spare tube. The tire boots were free, they only cost me the few minutes spent with a scissors, so why not pack one with each tube? The tire boots were there, just did not show up in the photo.
The Tyvek boot is a good idea but you don't need one with each tube. Booting a tire not a common event in my experience. I just carry about a 12"x12" piece of Tyvek in my tool kit somewhere. It's light and small. I have had to use it (not often but on one or two occasions) and it's best to have multiple layers. I just fold the whole piece into a small square and put it in the tire. No cutting needed.
