We had a 44-degree swing in temperatures yesterday between my morning and afternoon commutes. I handled the clothing surprisingly well, but my seat bag was jammed packed on the way home with my tights, jacket, head warmers and long-fingered clothes crammed in it. It was a great ride home and I had a rare tailwind.

The wind shifted overnight, so I had a nice tailwind most of the way to work this morning as well. The weather gods are smiling on me after so many lousy days over winter. I might take the long way home this afternoon if the winds calm down a little and my wife doesn't mind me getting home late. My afternoon commute takes 2 hours when I go the long way but there is virtually no traffic.
