Greetings from The DC Bike Blogger
When I retire I hope to do some long-distance, self-supported bike touring. Until then, I’m just a guy who has been working in Washington, D.C. for over 30 years, and keeps one of my bikes in the basement parking garage of the building where I am employed by an undisclosed government entity. I use my lunch break each day to go for a bike ride and discover some of the eclectic sites and unusual events in and around the city. I'm not a professional writer or photographer. But I do take a few snapshots along the way, and then use my blog to post the photos and write about what I see, what I learn, and what I think about while I explore our nation's capital one ride at a time. There are currently 593 posts and thousands of photos on my blog, as well as additional pages with general information and advice. There is also an interactive map, with each destination marked with an icon that contains a link that will take you to the blog post providing information on that particular location on the map. Please feel free to visit the blog and let me know what you think.
