But there was a very strong young man paying homage to the Cutters of
Breaking Away, on his suitably crappy-looking Bertin single speed. I think there were about a half dozen folks on single speeds (two of which were fixed gear, I think?) making the rest of us look pretty sorry and weak by comparison. But inspiring us all to press on, for sure.
