you do have a valid point about hardware, it is theirs and they should be compensated. i know some have said $5 is not much but i think it is too much actually. i recently subscribed as an elite customer of CycleMeter. it is $10/year. far better in price but missing the other aspects that Strava has.

one day someone is going to put it all together and compete with all.
