Backup Gates Belt?
I am planning a 6 day trip from Washington DC to Pittsburg on the C&O Towpath and the Alleghany Gap with our Carrera Co-Pilot Tandem.
I want to be able to recover from most mechanical breakdowns and carrry extra brake & shift cables, brake pads, an extra tire and chain pins.
So, should I carry a backup Gates Belt?
I can't imagine how I would recover, if the belt broke. Do Gates belts ever fail?
