When my wheels move from side to side it's been because the bearings are too loose. It's an easy adjustment, if you have the old style bearings. If you have cartridge bearings, you get new cartridges. Given the amount of miles you have on them, they should be serviced anyway if that's not something you've been doing on a regular basis. Unless the bearing races have been damaged, there's no reason to get new wheels.

Note: This isn't something you want to let go for a couple of years, especially given the number of miles you put on your bike.
