The guy who set course records on most of the hill climbs I did last year, and also won mount washington, recently soloed away at the end of a virtual rendition of one of the big annual central park (New York) races. Embarrassingly I watched the stream of it. He was doing, as I recall 6 watts/kg at the end there and hung on to win by like 9 seconds.
