UPDATES
Earlier this summer, the courts ruled against the opposition's demand for an environmental impact study, and the opposition appealed to the Minnesota supreme court... more stalling tactics. No update on the status of this appeal or it's time-line.
More important, after hours of public comments last night, the city of Minnetonka voted 5-2 to move forward with sustainable single-track trails in Lone Lake Park.
It's nice to see the step in the right direction, but it's so disheartening to see how a small group of ill-informed people can slow and delay a community project. I started this thread in 2017, and started work with local advocates in 2016. It'll easily be 2020 before trail work can start, and maybe .... just maybe, we will be riding trails in our own community before the end of next year.
I'm going to get some more coffee, the vote took place after 12:30, we didn't get home until 1:00 AM, and the alarm went off at 6:00 AM ...
