How about new decals instead of a repaint? It really doesn't look that bad. Ship it to me and I'll give you first hand advice. I can ride a 55, no problem.
BTW, I did the freehub swap tonight like I told you about, it works just fine. $30 to turn 8 speed into 10. Ill see what I have in the way of 110 stems.
+1...I wish my bikes looked that good. My orange baby has more imperfections than that and I don't consider it anywhere near repaint ready. Bauer's Merckx has more scars on the chain stays than that has on its body...it's character! Why repaint it (or really even change decals) when it's just going to get new dings? You're a rider, not a museum curator!
That bike is GORGEOUS as it is right now.
