Here is the big difference you left out, the steel Colnago in your photos will potentially still be going strong 200 years from now with a little care and the typical matte black CF wonder will be in a landfill. One was built forever, the other built to be obsolete.

Heard it all before and I have less interest now in CF wonder bikes and brifters and modern fit than ever. Each to their own.
