Maybe we ought to have a "Dream Bike" category - you are dreaming if you think you can actually buy and ride this bike.
In the IT industry we call this vaporware - products which companies claim to have but they are never actually available. The Jamis Renegade Elite is in this category. It doesn't actually exist anywhere.
I wouldn't wait three weeks for delivery of a new bike, let alone three months, or ten like some of you. General availability and reasonable delivery times are basic expectations when buying a bike at these prices. My money would have been returned, willingly or not, and spent elsewhere long ago.
The easiest way for an LBS to loose my business is not call me back and the easiest way for a bike manufacturer to drive me to their competition is to put a gorgeous product on their website, get me excited only to find that it can't actually be ordered, yet, or maybe ever.
