I would agree with 1993. Bianchi have several serial number formats because they were such a large brand and used so many different frame manufacturers. First there was Reparto Course, then the main factory for the mid-range and entry level models and then numerous Japan and Taiwanese manufacturers after Italian manufacturing got too expensive for the entry and mid-range models.

As for components, there was a 1993 EL model with C-Record.
