Your body will get used to the efforts as you progress - stuff like the lower back pain will go away. That hunger may go away, too. My morning rides are usually fasted - nothing other than a latte and cup of tea before, and usually nothing more than a granola bar on the bike, if anything, even on metric centuries.
I was suprised my ass didn’t hurt. But the padding in my china made bibs works out well. The pain in my legs when I was done was crazy. I don’t think it was from over working, I think it was from the cold. Nothing seemed to help, I tried laying down, stretching, walking. Getting old no bueno.

With that being said, now that I’m warm and full I’m ready to try for the 62 again.
