The Steamroller will look and ride great whichever direction you want to go with it. You can always change parts, but you can't get aftermarket tire clearance. Obviously the Wabi is a great bike, too.
This is kind of what I am thinking. I love Wabi's (I'm a sucker for lugs) and I love Richard's philosophy (hopefully that will continue), but the Staemroller seems a bit more versatile.
