Friend moved out of the area couple months back and found a new group to ride with. He has an S-Works Tarmac which was included in the Shimano crankset recall. He took the bike to a shop and they told him he needed to get the crank replaced but Shimano said it could take a long time and they couldn't say when they would get a replacement.
He has a back up bike but said he can't keep up with his group on it. This guy is pretty fast and it's hard to believe the bike is making that much difference.

Anyway he went off on an anti Shimano rant about how he'll never buy Shimano again, I hate Shimano, etc. etc. Says he has to buy a new bike right away so he can ride with friends, etc. Next day he sends a pic of a Canyon that he ordered and it has Dura Ace DI2. WTF? Next day after ordering the Canyon he writes my friend and says the new crank came in for his Tarmac.
