Yesterday, I did 3 x 10@ 110%. Boo yah, that was hard but the whole time I knew I was gonna get it done.
Today was “easier” or so I thought. 1 x 20@ 105% but right when I got started my quads were like WTF, no. It was a struggle at first but in the end I got it done. For me, threshold efforts frequently get easier around 5-7 min in, I assume some kind of lactate processing metabolic system kicks in for me around that time.
Anyway it was funny- first the shock, then despair, then hope, then accomplishment. A microcosm of life, all in a single 20 min interval, lol.
I find the TT bike very uncomfortable on the trainer, for some reason. Outside, I can swing it, but I guess I just have too much time in my head to think of things.
Yep. Once can see a short lifetime in a 20 minute graphical representation of bicycle metrics.
