I am such a simpleton that, until last week, I didn't even know non-circular chainrings were a thing, let alone the advanced biopace rings you mention. For better perspective here is my ride into the capitol today. This is the drinking fountain at the base of the hill, which I think is cute. DC is a nice city to cruise around: some hills, traffic isn't mean, plenty of fun stuff to see. Rode 25 miles in but then I took the train back out, like a coward. Today was my first day trying out bmx pedals+straps, not sure when I'll be using them going forward but they are comfy.
