Steel or titanium - no other material cuts it.
I use two depending on season: A klean kanteen vacuum bottle and another klean kanteen single-wall. Both with flip lids (I'm not a sipper, I like to gulp).
In the summer, I do carry a softish bike bottle, but it is solely used for wetting my hat and back to cool down.
