If the scraping is infrequent and only under unusually stressful riding conditions — like pounding out of saddle sprinting and/or climbing — chances are there is nothing to worry about. Manufacturers won’t advertise it, but the unfortunate truth about the current state of the art disc brake systems is that this can and does happen.
