I have my iPhone 11 connected to my Garmin fenix 6 all day. This evening, the phone reports Connect accounting for 1% of battery activity. I can’t think of a reason why an Edge would result In different usage. Perhaps try restarting the phone and/or deleting and reinstalling Connect.
