It's interesting that the calorie count is 1,223 for 40 miles at 126W. I don't have a power meter yet and my Apple Watch says I burnt 923 calories on a 21 mile ride (15 mph). I wonder if I'm really only half as efficient as you at cycling (I weigh 185 lbs). Which power meter do you have btw?

The strava app is pretty inadequate at tracking calorie and power. That power is an equation that the people of strava have created so I wouldn’t go by it at all. The time and distance is really the only thing that is accurate.
IMO the only significance for me of the power on the strava app, since it is all i have ever used, i can see how I have improved over the months. When I first started average power was 70 the highest i think i have seen on a 20 miler is 169. Doesn’t mean anything but it’s cool to see the difference.
