So I started talking 'the other' drug - Tamsulosin. Some dry mouth, but in the first few days no insane side effects. In particular it did not jack my HR up the way the flomax did. I didn't give that much of a shot, so that could also have been something that would have self corrected. Three or four day in and I actually got some sleep. I guess, either way, at a certain point sleep trumps bike racing. I can't be very fast if I give up sleeping.
