Very well stated, and I'll add that Gravel offers nearly constant edge of your seat intensity that comes from within while on the Road that intensity is all too often forced upon you by others who 'share' it!

I'll bet Munising and vicinity offers some really amazing gravel routes. The UP is a great place to ride...
