Friday: 26 miles and a ticket for slow rolling a right turn at a four-way stop with no opposing traffic. Checked my front and rear video at home and discovered the cop had been shadowing me for a mile, saw me come to full stops at three intersections, but pounced the moment I made a mistake that had no effect on "public safety", despite the well meaning lecture. Kinda ruined my day.

Saturday: An hour on the indoor trainer and another hour of core work, pushups, curls, neck, back and ab work. I'm doing home PT a couple of times a week and it's really helping on bike rides. For years my saddle time/distance was limited by neck pain from old injuries. Usually I had to stop every 10 miles or so to stretch and massage the neck spasms. Now I can manage up to 40 miles nonstop. Makes it easier to tag along on moderate pace group rides.

Sunday: 38 miles on a sunny, warm, not-too-windy groundhog day. Saw my shadow, so I reckon that means six more weeks of whimper.
