I've really been working on steady zone 3 and high cadence to keep the load off my knees but my volume hasn't been what it should; I have a long steep road race and I need big TSS weeks so its a bit of a conundrum. Unless something else pops up on the schedule this is my last race of the year and one I can do well in. There aren't many races for guys that can only go up very long hills.
My co worker is going into surgery 4 days before the race, so I may have to cover on call that weekend which means it may be a non issue.
