I jumped right in this morning, Shovell, with really too little warmup. I'd love to try a race, but I'm going to have to figure out a warmup before I do. Perhaps I'll do Coach's TT warmup, which is just great. Then do a race!
For the scheduled rides and races that use the race module, it sets up a virtual trainer at the start line for warming up.
