Went for a run 5k and decided to try for a PR. 22:55 on a route that's really hilly. Almost 300ft for the 3.1 miles.

Now, need to do a week soon in the pain cave doing some TT bike threshold work and go for a 10mi TT PR around town.

I'm darn sure if it was pan flat I could go faster than 7:00/mi for a 5k. That 5k starts right out of the house up a false flat into a 8 to 11% grade hill ending in another false flat uphill for another 2/3 mile.

7:00/mi is still laughably slow compared to runners, runners who run faster than that by a whole minute for a whole marathon. Then again, I have zero desire to run 40 miles a week either.

I think a good goal is this year to maybe double down and get BOTH my 5k time and 10mi TT time down to 22min.
