I use Strava mostly to track mileage and ride metrics.
RideWithGPS has better real-time monitoring during the rides. For the data (other than the map), it has a 2-page display with selectable fields (hold down over the field you wish to change).

I tend to have MPH for the large one. Time in one field. Distance, and a few other metrics. Riding time, average speed, etc.
