Today made for some good racing stories.

The first Norcal race of 2018, Cal Aggie crit, was today. Always a big field, 70-80+, always fun to see everyone back after a (short) "winter" - and always pretty sketchy.

Short version of the story was we came in with a plan - a few guys to go for the break, a few guys to sprint if it came down to that. Plan succeeded on both fronts!

One of our guys won from the break. A legit break, with some of the strongest dudes in the race in it. He dropped them all and solo'd the last 3 laps!

Then a teammate led me out for the field sprint (for 7th), we took it easily. My GoPro pooped out so I didn't capture any video, but it would've been great, including some gutter-surfing to move up in the straight before the final turn.

Great to win with teamwork like that, first of many I hope.
