Ha, good to know! Yes, we're getting Serenity Sound Control, which is exactly that. Not the beefy triple-glazed 4" thick ones, but the windows we have now are original, 20 years old, and aluminum. I don't think they do a whole lot even compared to new cheap windows. There's one window in particular that faces the street where cars rev to go uphill at speed, and that one might get an additional insert if the new windows help but not enough.

And the good thing about us having moved (out of the old house, the rental in between had the same access) is that the local riding is much much better. I'd have been far more out of sorts and limited back in the old house.
