So I did the ride, and found a good route--111 from Nashua to Kingston, 107A from Kingston to Amesbury, then Amesbury to Plum Island. Loved it!. I'd never ridden on 107A before, and recommend it to you if you're in the area. Nice country road with reasonable pavement.
Bought a used bike at a great LBS in North Andover on the way home. PM me if you're interested in the shop--definitely worth a stop
Riding back home through Lawrence sucked. Was not the best way to end such a great day of riding.
