This reminds of of my favorite "bike in the store" stories. One of the mechanics at the LBS is a BMX guy, been riding 20"/24" for ages. He was wheeling his bike into a local supermarket, and someone in the store said something along the lines of, "
Sir! You cannot bring that bike in here!" So he went to the entrance, got a shopping cart, and put his bike in the cart. No problems from there on.
