I had double inguinal surgery about ten years ago. I was back to most things within three months but to be honest....I could "feel" twinges and what felt like tearings for over a year. I'd say the occasional pain that really concerned me disappeared at almost a year and then after year two I forgot I even had the surgery. However, my doctor was a dope, who got fired from his practice less than six months later and who told me two weeks before my surgery that he was disenchanted with the medical profession. I should have bailed at that point but I didn't know about his baggage that helped get him fired until later. I do remember the drugs being quite nice though.
