In my sphere, it's the older people who minimize, mock, deny, and refuse to be smart. Even AG has to call her mother every few days and give a sitcom-esque generation-reversed "it's for your own good young lady" talk.
My parents seem to be taking it seriously. My mother in law in VA, though? Ugh. I mean, she doesn't get out of the house much, as it is, but she's not terribly robust and my wife has been hammering on her to minimize her exposure.
...aaaaand then we find out that my MIL thought it was a good idea to keep her annual check-up appointment and that my Kool-aid drinkin' brother in law didn't see an issue so he ******g drove her to the big-ass hospital. I say again - ugh.
