My grandparents raised chickens and rabbits among other critters. On weekends, I would help my grandmother pluck chickens and my grandfather skin and butcher rabbits for our Sunday family dinner. Chicken and rabbit was rolled in flour and fried in the same cast iron pans and served on the same platter.
I ate a lot of rabbit growing up. I've only had it in my adult years when bike touring in Spain and Mallorca.
