A moose or elk can total you and your car. Don't think antelope are much of a problem. Never seen one close to a road. They have amazing eyesight (their eyes are roughly the size of an elephant's eyes in a much smaller body), and they tend to stay far away from people and moving objects. I was photographing a few way off in the field in SD. They spotted me right away and became wary. Fun fact: The Pronghorn Antelope has the second fastest top speed of any land mammal on the planet. Over distance it can out pace the cheetah.
These guys were the least skittish pronghorn I've ever seen. They stayed there 10 yards away while I setup camp and they continued grazing and keeping an eye on me 'til the sun went down, and I'm guessing all night long since they were still there milling around and grazing when I got up in the morning.
