I'm Doug and that's my story.
I've owned nothing but Hondas and Acuras since 1992, 11 in all. But in the middle, we inherited a 2004 Malibu Maxx. It was a fun car to drive, more than enough power and acceleration, decent mileage, etc., but I got to know the local service department intimately. We only kept it a year as a third runaround car but in that year, both key fobs quit, driver side window switch broke, needed a steering rack, and some trim pieces fell off. A week ago, I got a recall notice from Chevrolet and threw it away without reading because I couldn't remember ever owning a Chevrolet until my wife pointed out that we had inherited her mother's car.

Edit: I forgot, there was a couple Toyotas in there, too.
