I decided I had better build this while I could still find parts. 26ers are almost obsolete. If I stay with the single speed I’ll use a chain tensioner. But I might go with a 1x9 set-up if I can find a decent derailleur - shifter setup.
I built up one of these 15 yrs ago. I used a lot of carbon fiber parts and XTR components. 22 lbs was not bad for a 27 speed w/ suspension fork. It was/is a fun bike to ride. I gave it to my son in law. It makes great commuter with skinny tires.
