It's suitable for the intended purpose but at 5'0" my big concern would be proper fit. The 19" frame on these bicycles were more suitable for someone around 5'4". Even with the seat all the way down, you may have to fully extend your leg at the bottom of the pedal stroke, which is not a good thing.
Thanks! That's what I had been seeing in regards to value. Yes, it seems like most of these bikes are not made for short people.
