^welp, it's bought. the frame says "chro-moly main tubing." the 720 owner was unresponsive. this one fits. annoying that the 700 listing falsely said "720," but people's actions are often lesser than their intent.

ordered the light kit you suggested, jlaw. gotta get my lock local with the 10.x percent sales tax because i need it immediately. i'd have paid that for the lights too, in order to support local. but when i googled it wasn't showing up in any shop inventory.
