The original Tourney RD worked totally fine, it is just a 6/7 speed model and I didn't think it would handle the 8 speed with the 34T cog. The original has been cleaned up for the parts bin.
Ok, that clarifies it all. I was gathering this was 2000 miles from new. And while Tourney can work fine for many, it certainly is not Shimano’s best.
