Fortunately I have lightly traveled rural gravel roads near where I can hear a vehicle coming for a distance but there is always a risk. I stay off the main highway or any road with high traffic. Most vehicles are people who live in the area and over the years they have become use to seeing me on my gravel bike. I use a red blinking light and high vise jerseys to be visible.
