In California, only roads have enforceable speed limits and that is where motor assisted vehicles belong. The motor on my Subaru assists getting on the freeway and cuts out on the exits.
they actually (if rarely) have speed checks/stop on the Los Gatos Creek trail in San jose area (it hits san jose, campbell and saratoga)
my bike motor (me) helps going down hill and cuts out on the hills
it needs more training and less weight
