It's contributing to my slow slide to insanity and my weight issues as the only way I go back to sleep is to eat something. I literally wake up to consciousness anywhere from 1-5 times every single night.
to mitigate this I am in bed from 9pm - 7am. when my kids learn to get out of their cribs I will go back to crying at my desk at work, I think.
If the lack of sleep is kid induced.. Sorry, just hope it gets better for you soon.
If it's not you should probably go see a specialist. Lack of sleep is bad for all aspects of health. Mental, physical et. al. CPAP machines suck, but I've seen people turn their lives around because of them.
