If you sign up for the Cruisin' the Conejo moderate metric century (they ought to be sued for false advertising, moderate my butt!...but I digress) you will ride past the Alpaca Ranch (pause to take pics, they are really adorable). But before reaching the alpacas, you will ride on Potrero Road through some of the most expensive RE in So. Cal., past Sherwood CC (you golfers know all about it), past where Sofia Loren had a home and where Tom Selleck still has one. Then you will descend down Potrero Road past a former mental hospital, now the site of Cal State Channel Islands. (What's the difference between a mental hospital and a state college? None, both are full of nuts.)
Then the ride heads into Camarillo and Somis to the alpacas and up to Horse Hill. From there is an easy ride back to the starting point. You will go past AMGEN (be sure to get your free EPO samples) and on to the finish line.
