Are the Tri bikes comfortable mile eaters like the X10 series, would they fit 32mm (without fenders/28mm with).
If they are more of a tight clearence race bike then they're not for me, but something more general that would take a saddle roll and maybe a bar bag, for a lunch and a sweater would be awesome.
I don't personally have any experience with these specific bikes, but I generally wouldn't assume anything from the mid to late 80s to fit bigger than 28, if you're lucky.

I know that with Schwinns at least, things started tightening up in the mid 80s. My 1985 Tempo could fit 28s, but my 1986 could only take 25s and that was pretty tight.
